Enough of those little sock monkeys LOL!

5 inches sock monkeys

Everyone loves the sock monkeys I made, that of course includes myself!
Last month while shopping at the mall, I saw those baby color socks at the GAP,
and thought about trying to make smaller sock monkeys.

It was more difficult to make than the larger sock monkeys I made before.
But eventually I made 12 of them and that's all for now!

They are all approximately 5 inches tall, most can be used as cell phone charm, zipper pull, Christmas ornament or just hang them anywhere you want! Only a few of them I did not add the hanging thing, so it's good to use as your traveling buddy!

But if you are getting this for Christmas, I can't guarantee that they'll arrive on time since Canadian postal services is pretty slow....

You can get them here in the shop.

Handmade sock plushes returns!

Wow! My last blog post was back in May 2011!
Sorry guys, I am not good at writing at all.

So what have I been doing in the past year? Making dolls of course!
I have made a dragon, it was a custom order from a friend. At first I thought I was unable to make it because it sounded difficult, but I gave it a try. It was super hard at first, trying to match all the colors and to make it look like a "cute" dragon (not the scary kind...) and I DID IT!
Here is a picture of it :
Cute eh?
If you haven't join me on Facebook to see the lastest updates, here is the link:

Today I've added some of the new 5 inches sock monkeys in my shop, these are harder to make than the chubby monkeys. I only bought enough materials to make 12 of them so they are all one of a kind! (all used different fabric for ears)

You can get them here in my shop Hopefully I will be adding more dolls before Christmas!

where is summer?

It's been a cold, windy and wet winter, as we go into spring, it still doesn't feel like it's spring!
It's already the end of May and I am still a wearing jacket and a beanie whenever I go out.
My husband and I moved from Los Angeles to Vancouver just a little over 1 year now, things has not been easy with the new environment with no friends/family around.

The good thing is, my handmade/ one of a kind dolls are keeping me busy and happy! And I hope for the people who received my doll as a gift (whoever buys for themselves) are happy as well! You never know what a little doll can do to your life!

As promised......I donated 10% of my sales to Canadian Red Cross

Sooooo......

As promised, I would donate 10% of my etsy sales to Canadian Red Cross. I did that yesterday even though it's been 1 month after the earthquake /Tsunami happened in Japan. I just wanted to add up the amount so I can donate all at once.

Please continue to help me with the donation! Thanks to all who helped and purchased my dolls!

First post of 2011

WOW!!! It's been more than a year since my last post?
It was definitely a busy year for us, moving endlessly.

So besides moving, I have been making lots of custom ordered,
wedding gifts, birthday gifts....
Now things are slowing down so I am making lots of small
sock monkeys and they make me smile!!!

I will try to write more often from now on (I know I said that last year too!)
I am just not a good writer and writing in English is getting harder for me
since I don't speak English much now HAHA!

Anyways, for every doll purchased 10% of profits (some 20%) are given to the CANADIAN Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Haiti, New Zealand and Japan. You can do this by going to my etsy store , thank you all!!!
